TAYLOR: Should I listen to her Reputation and Self Titled albums now or wait till the TV comes out?

I'd love to see you react to the Folklore album, the original, not the Long Pond Session. Would also love re-reactions of some of her albums because now you know more of the TayLORE

2025-04-20 23:21:55 +0000 UTCas swifties, a lot of us compare the two versions since we’ve only had the stolen releases so far. i’d say go for it for both Reputation and Taylor Swift! it makes it a lot easier to spot what’s changed and focus on the vault tracks as well :) (she does still get a cut of the stolen versions being streamed, i’ve heard; though i could be wrong, there’s not really any spoilers to listen in advance.

I’m pretty much fine with anything, but I’d love either self-titled or something different like more music videos or random compilations etc.

2025-04-18 15:16:17 +0000 UTCHer contract only stipulated that the first 5 could be re-recorded and released starting back in 2020. I am not entirely sure what the moratorium is for re-recording the Reputation album.

2025-04-18 14:22:21 +0000 UTCOh I think you’ll LOOOOVEEE reputation!! It might be a while until the Taylor’s Version of each comes out, so I think it’s okay to listen now. And then when they DO release, you’re able to hear the differences, which I think is more fun anyway. Her self titled album sounds drastically different to her voice now, so listening to that would be fun too!

2025-04-18 12:45:59 +0000 UTCi think self titled because it’ll be the most different. she recorded that album when she was 15 and put it out at 16 and now she’s 35 so it’ll by far be the biggest difference vocally. she wrote it at 12-15 as well so there’s that huge difference too as she was sooo young when she put this out and now she’s much older and more matured. she also added a lot of country twang on the og one that we’re unsure about how much we’ll get on the tv cause she’s not in country anymore. ik we shouldn’t be listening to stolen versions but since there’s no tvs yet for these 2 and we have no idea when they’ll come, i think it’s better than like streaming a stolen version when there’s already a taylor’s version available on streaming if that makes sense. you could probably do both this year to be honest so you know what both of the ogs sound like before the tvs come out cause there’s a good chance we’re not getting them until at least next year we literally have no idea

2025-04-18 11:20:19 +0000 UTCI vote to listen to Self titled. I would love to say wait for re-records but she is clearly taking a well deserved break so it will probably be a while. I believe this is the first time since 2020 that she will have gone 365 days or more without releasing a new album or a Taylor’s version album which is just a ridiculous pace itself. Then add in she prepared for and completed the Eras tour which was massive it is just unbelievable when I step back and look at everything she has given us these past several years. I love Reputation and I just think self titled is underrated and under appreciated so I voted that way. I will be happy with which ever one you do. Not to mention even if you do them before the re-records come out there will be new vault tracks to react to once we do get them.

2025-04-18 06:48:04 +0000 UTCPersonally, i wish you could wait for the Taylor’s versions but realistically, they might come out later, so if you get the contact now of everything with the original album you’ll get to hear the real RAW emotion from both albums! You definitely need to get into a huge deep dive into the reputation era to truly understand what kind of place she was in and the lore of everything . I’m cool with whatever you do!

As much as I'd like you to wait for the Taylor's versions I do think there's something to be said about hearing those original tracks for her self titled album in your Taylor journey
