This episode contains one song from one of my fave songs "its not unusual" by Tom jones is a song i was brought up listening to and still to this day i love it as much if not more that the first time i heard it and it also has on of my childhood fave musicals Hairspray wich came out in 2007 when i was four years old and i remember i got the dvd for my eight birthday and used to watch it all the time also i was one of the first musicals i learnt all of the songs for also the last musical l my mum watched before she passed since she had her brain op she loved this film and wold watch it meany times a day if she wasnt watching the film she was listening to the soundtrack on her Alexa she would randomly shout Alexa play hairspray or she would say Alexa play John Travolta which was funny as Alexa didn't know what she meant it was actually now I'm thinking about it the last movie we watched before she passed well she didnt watch it cause she was out of it so she listened to it as i sat beside her with it playing in the background and a book in one hand and my other hand holding hers thats how i spent most of my birthday. She also loved glee we used to watch it together and she would say fucking hell can lea/Rachel sing she loved her so much she said she reminded's her of Barbra Streisand.It also brought a way of her being able to talk to me so if there was a episode with a big topic involved i would look at her and she would pause the episode and i would ask her questions and she would anser them then we would continue watching i love how glee is such a family show and it makes certain topics easy to talk about ps i have got Danny into watching it and he loves it is fun to watch him watch it for the first time and see his reactions as he is a dramatic soul its funny i know this is Alot to read but i just like to go on rants and tangents its fun {thats one way you can tell I'm autistic once i start ranting i cant stop especially when it's something I love} plus when i watched this episode i wanted to dye my hair pick wich to that my mum said no you 12 years old no and i also considered it recently when i got my hair done but decided to go red but hey red if half of what makes pink ha ha technically i had pink hair once i will have to see if i can find a pic well its supposed to be red but in the proper light it was pink in the roots and red in the ends. wow thats a lot tangent now is finished finaly ha ha

This is the first episode to include one of the new members of the New Directions for this season, in Sugar Motta played by Vanessa Lengies. She is not a heavily featured character on the show, but is one I always felt made the most of her screen time when she could. She is always in the background doing the funniest facial expression or doing the absolute MOST in the background for any scene she is in throughout Seasons 3, 4 and 6. All I'm saying is she is one of those fun background characters that you only notice on a rewatch. I also love the fan lore of Sugar being the daughter of both Santana and Brittany which is lowkey kinda accurate lol

Which I find interesting considering Lindsay Pearce didn't even win the show she was one of 2 runner ups.

In the full MP3 of You Canβt Stop The Beat, there is a very long cut verse of Artie of Artie and Kurt singing together. Which never happens. They hated filming the food fight because it made the set smell very bad and everything was sticky or slippery. Also the extras were instructed to not throw meat at Lea because she was vegetarian. During the final number, you can see cast members, Brittney and Puck, make weird faces. That was a technique they sometimes used to help them concentrate on the lyrics when filming. During Its Not Unusual, thereβs a shot of Naya teaching Darren her βNaya danceβ.π₯°

2025-04-12 06:59:03 +0000 UTCWell, to start, Harmony is Lindsay Pearce from the Glee Project! Harmony is also wearing the same star necklace that Rachel has that Finn gave her. At the end of the episode they do You Can't Stop The Beat from Hairspray, and Matthew Morrison was Link Larkin in the OG Broadway cast of Hairspray. During It's Not Unusual, there are shots near the end where you can hear the piano playing in the song, but the purple piano player is no longer at the piano. Dianna Agron dyed her hair pink for this, and when she was seen in public with the new hair people thought she was just falling down the colourful hair rabbit hole of that summer because eeeeeveryone was dyeing their hair a bright colour. Most of the hardcore Gleeks knew though that it was for Quinn before she confirmed it was for work on Twitter. This is the first premier episode that does not feature a male singing in a shower. Similarly it's the first premier episode that doesn't have a Rachel solo. The word Gleeatch is used, which you might remember from The Glee Project when Emily said it in season 1.
