ONCE UPON A TIME 05X03 WATCH PARTY

Comments

I loved this episode! I loved the comradery between Arthur and David. And honestly also between Hook and Robin. I really wish Arthur wouldn't have been bad bc I really, really, loved them this episode. Their talk at the water's edge and I nearly wanted to cry tears of happiness at David's ceremony. How I wish it could have been real. I also love how Emma admits that she used to be nothing but scared, judgmental, and closed off. She definitely, definitely was. The sweet photo of David and Emma; she looked so happy with her dad. This is the Emma I feel like I waited three veryyyy long seasons for. Thank God for Regina to hold me over (also loved every scene with Regina in this episode of course, as usual)Honestly I love the Dark Swan. She's more confident than she's ever been since finding out who she is, finally sure of herself, instead of walking around, shaking in her boots with anxiety or anger/bitterness. Because even as the dark one she doesn't make near as many passive aggressive, bitter comments and her behavior is better, rather than the cloud of oppression she kept over her own head. She is finally becoming more mature. Last season, especially with the Maleficent and Lily crap, she spent near the entire season acting like a petulant six year old. She had the right to be upset but I'm just happy we've finally reached the season where she quits acting like a babied Child, and more of the 30+ woman And mother that she is, no matter her past.

His heart is like a heart from a newborn, complete blank. but I can understand why it's confusing because of everything he did in the past^^ (and I don't like ep. 8 xD but I'm ready for the next season part and all the WTF moments xD)

Speaking of Rumple's heart: remember, season 4 ended with Rumple extracting all the darkness he'd had since becoming a Dark One (and Emma taking it all back by becoming the new Dark One). That's why his heart is neutral now, neither good nor evil. Rumple is a special case because he has consistently failed to do good. For every good deed, he let us down with a lie, whereas Regina or Hook, for example, proved hard but surely that they could change - which is why they didn't need to extract their darkness by placing it in another being, as Rumple unwillingly did with Emma. Anyway, I can't wait to get on with the season - especially towards episode 8, for those in the know. 😎
