I actually happen to have a very similar situation to what happened in the show. It was while I was in college in my first apartment. I could not hear talking like they did on the show, but I could absolutely hear the bouncing of the bed and the backboard hitting the wall above my room.

2025-03-20 22:00:11 +0000 UTCI’ve had several different roommates in the townhouse that i lived in during my twenties just not realise that the walls were no where near soundproof. It was a 3 bedroom and it was usually just a rotating cycle of 3 girls but once when one of the girls was moving out the other remaining girl and i decided to not limit the new roommate possibilities to just girls this time. During our search we found a sweet nerdy guy several years younger than us that we thought would be a good fit. He moved in an instead of bringing a bed he put up a hammock. We thought, ok quirky but it fit his vibe and that would definitely prevent overnight visitors. Well, we were wrong. We found out at 3 in the morning one night that he had brought an air mattress and a girl home and let me tell you, the sound of cheep air mattress thwamps every night for weeks is not the best white noise to sleep to. Thankfully for us, unfortunately for him, the girl ghosted him after a few weeks and he was a sad panda.

2025-03-20 21:58:48 +0000 UTCWell funny story one of the first times I facetimed Danielle it was like 2.30 am we both couldn't sleep so I call her and we spent most of the phone call laughing cause on one of the wall you could hear the maybes arguing and I the other side you could he the other nabure having se it was quite the contradiction ha ha and also to the other question yes Danielle uses her beauty and body to get what she wants it's quite funny actually the best story I have is son out first in person date we were in a bar and we had both already had one drink and I when to get her another but the bartender was different than the one earlier he said can I see your id which I don't have on me so he refused to give me her drink so I go back to her and explain what happend she took of the jacket I gave her unbuttoned the shirts she was warring adjusted her sped and walked to the bar for a drink baring in mind Danielle dose not look her age she looks younger and she got her drink but the whole time she was there he was just staring at her chest which I guess was the point I found it quite funny and all I could say when she came back was good job and OMFG your fucking stunning she laughed it of and we carried on with the night

2025-03-20 13:17:35 +0000 UTCI got to say, I really enjoyed watching this episode with you ❤️ this seemed like the first one in so long where you just let yourself enjoy the storyline without overanalyzing everything. I realize we all often get in that habit, especially in today’s society because things seem to have so many more layers. However, we have to remember this took place in the early 90’s and 00’s, and the stories they told were VERY progressive. Sometimes it seemed like every piece of dialogue was over analyzed to the point where you weren’t allowing yourself to enjoy the amazing show that this is. In this episode, it seemed as though you could see things from Ross’ perspective and from Rachel‘s regarding the Mark situation and you didn’t take one side and criticize the other the entire time, which I feel like has happened in the last season and a half. It was a REALLY fun watching this one with you. ❤️❤️❤️ It just feels like it’s back to what it was where you just allow yourself to enjoy it. In the beginning, you would mention that you were making a point to sit back, relax, and just watch friends mindlessly and not overthink it and I really hope that that’s the case going forward. 🥹❤️ It is such an amazing show and hilarious. Sending so much love. I can’t wait to watch more friends! ❤️😘😍👏

Fun facts: Ross saying "it's ok" when Chandler apologises to Monica for "sticking his tongue down her throat" was improvised by David Schwimmer. And when Phoebe is upstairs talking to the loud man, his voice is that of producer Ira Ungerleider.
