That said, if I was going to go WAY out of left field and go with the ones my brain likes to play around with instead of anything plausible, I always though (despite never having much time on screen together) that Susan and Phoebe would be a hysterical couple. Between Susan's wit, Phoebe's quirks, and both of them loving to get Ross' goat, I think it'd be neat.

2025-02-13 14:11:42 +0000 UTCI know a lot of people love Chandler/Matthew for his humour but I actually love him most for his amazing sincere, serious moments like here with Monica β€ He has a few throughout the show that I can't wait to see your reactions to! I agree Ross and Phoebe would have been super sweet and interesting. Joey and Monica makes the least sense to me, which is funny because the writers originally planned on them being a couple, but apparently when Jennifer was cast to play Rachel it was changed to Ross and Rachel. Another fun fact: Marissa Ribisi, who portrays Rachel's friend Betsy in the flashback episode (the redhead), is the twin sister of Giovanni Ribisi who plays Phoebe's brother Frank Jr. Goofs: The flashback episode is before the pilot but when Monica introduced Rachel to Chandler in the pilot they acted as if they had never met before. Also, Monica and Rachel talked as if they hadn't met since high school. In 1x07 during the blackout, Phoebe lets slip that Monica had a crush on Joey when he was first moving in and Joey didn't know about it. However, in this episode, it is implied he knew.
