Then again in Wicked!! 😆 I was curious about Willy Wonka, so I looked it up. The original film with Gene Wilder playing the wacky candy man came out in 1971.

The original movie came out in 1971 with Gene Wilder. "The Wiz" came out in 1978. There was a remake of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" with Johnny Depp that came out in 2005.
