Taylor Original vs Taylor's Version??
Added 2025-01-23 14:37:43 +0000 UTCIf you could pick ONE album that I would do a VOCAL ANALYSIS of her Original Album compared to her Taylor Version, what ONE album would you pick?
(reposted since self titled shouldn't have been there)

Yeah, I know. It could be done when it is released. I would’ve been happy to wait for a comparison that was truly different and interesting.

2025-01-25 14:07:01 +0000 UTCthe taylor’s version isn’t out yet so she wouldn’t be able to compare it which is what she’s doing for the video, comparing the og to the tv

2025-01-25 03:07:17 +0000 UTCshe usually looks up the lyric videos on youtube and doesn’t stream it on spotify/apple music and platforms like that. i think people have made playlists of fan made lyric videos on youtube for all of them so that should be fine i think

2025-01-25 03:05:46 +0000 UTCSwifties would love it if you didn’t stream the stolen versions but would still love your analysis (maybe just get a friend who has the cd to let you borrow it, or send the mp3s on google drive 😉)

2025-01-23 23:18:16 +0000 UTCOh that's too bad that you removed Debut! That's the one I would've been most interested in because that's obviously the one that would show the most difference in her evolution over her career.

2025-01-23 17:37:31 +0000 UTCAdditionally Nathan chapman - who produced songs from her first 4 albums - said that he refrained from using much pitch correction or tuning on her voice and kept it to a minimal.

2025-01-23 17:10:58 +0000 UTCFearless because it has the biggest vocal difference. She even said in an interview she was so excited to go back and re record songs from that album that she used to struggle to master live back then (namely change and tell me why). Also over time she has sung more concerts and has learnt more singing “tricks”

2025-01-23 16:29:57 +0000 UTCI voted Speak Now since you just reacted to Fearless. I think Speak Now being the 2nd oldest album with a Taylor’s version and it being a significant time since you reacted to the album it would be fun to revisit it.

2025-01-23 15:51:11 +0000 UTCAll of them are great but if I need to only pick ONE, Fearless I think would be best as it is the earliest album of the ones that have a Taylor's Version. When it is eventually released I think doing Self Titled would be an amazing one to look at as well as it will have the largest gap between OG and TV release dates.

2025-01-23 15:11:16 +0000 UTCi’d say fearless as it shows the most growth/differences imo since she was 17-18 when recording it and 31 when re-recording. you heard pieces of it in your fearless tv reaction but there’s a lot more that i think would be interesting broken down. her country albums specifically would be the most different because 1989 (while the tv has much stronger vocals) isn’t too different compared to her country albums
