I just realised, with Romy Rosemont bringing in alcohol - was Chris old enough to drink yet? This was late 2010, so I believe he was only 20. Naughty Chris (if he drank too)! π€π As for the bullying policy, I assume that - with it being a private school, and being seen as very proper and upper class - Dalton is probably a lot stricter regarding what "counts" as bullying. As Sue said, at McKinley, a lot of cases of bullying can be explained away as "an accident" or whatever, and the kids frequently have fist fights with seemingly little consequences; anything verbal, as shown in this episode, is seen as unprovable. With Dalton (this is just an assumption, so take it with a grain of salt), they probably have the money and resources to investigate claims of bullying much more thoroughly, there's probably better security such as cameras in the halls, etc., and so it's less easy to just explain it away. And, whereas at McKinley it seems like they mostly give you a slap on the wrist, at Dalton they probably only give you one or two chances (depending on severity of the incident) and then you're out. There's also factors such as image, the presumably lower number of students at Dalton, and peer scrutiny. On the first point, Dalton have a prestigious and proper image to uphold, so any troublemakers would be seen as detrimental to that image. Secondly, with there probably being less students at Dalton due to the high tuition costs, it would likely be easier to keep an eye on them all and ensure nobody acts out. On the students' end, going back to Dalton's image, the students seem to agree with the policies and their need to maintain their polished image (at least in Season 2), and so anyone acting out and tarnishing that would likely be shunned and judged by their peers as well. So the enforcement likely doesn't solely fall on the staff, but the student body too. Again, this is all just speculation based on what little we see - it's never stated in the show, and I'm not American and have zero clue about the differences between their public and private schools lol. I could be **completely** wrong lmao. And I apologise for the essay π

2025-01-16 09:05:25 +0000 UTCYou might be surprised how many schools have a 0 tolerance policy for bullying but don't enforce it. My first middle school (grades 6-8) had a 0 tolerance policy and I still had to switch schools half way through my grade 8 year

2025-01-15 08:22:41 +0000 UTCJust seems off to have a policy but not in force it. Hmmm⦠but then again this is GLEE and what would it be without drama?

2025-01-15 08:22:22 +0000 UTCI totally agree. It just is so lame that he would even need to depend on them. The school staff should have really stepped up on this more.

2025-01-15 08:19:41 +0000 UTCHim leaving was for the best the guys in glee club couldnβt just be fighting this guy 24/7 especially if other football players gets involved the glee club is already on thin ice so it was the right decision but regardless his safety comes first

2025-01-13 06:38:24 +0000 UTCI was thinking the same thing. Their characters didn't get to get married, which they had wanted, as well as the fact that they wanted to get married in real life. Neither got to happen. π’

2025-01-12 00:55:22 +0000 UTCI think under normal circumstances where there's months of lead up to the wedding that you're right about Kurt not settling for a rental but there wasn't months of lead up and Burt and Carol were wanting to save money on the wedding so they could do a honeymoon. Plus it's a wedding where he's part of the wedding party not just a guest so he's gotta somewhat match with the other wedding party members. If Kurt had more time and/or budget then yeah he'd definitely not settle for a rental

2025-01-10 07:29:31 +0000 UTCMy mistake; the red sweater that Kurt wears when he returns is the one when he and Will are in Sueβs office, not the ending scene. This episode is when Finns internalized homophobia that started in s1, comes to a head and luckily ends. So we have fully moved on from that whole ordeal. This is definitely one of the episodes where the audience is on Sueβs side! She is the only adult (not counting family members) to actually do something about the bullying. Also a funny story that shows how close the cast is is that during filming, they (the main group of actors) were complimenting how Nayaβs boobs looked in her dress.π

2025-01-10 07:28:33 +0000 UTCMcKinley technically has a 0 tolerance policy but it's not enforced which is why Kurt points out that Dalton has one AND it's enforced. As for Kurt's suit I think it's a two-fold thing. The first is that it's pointed out by Rachel that the Karofsky thing has made Kurt lose weight and the second isn't confirmed but with the fact that they don't reuse the suits for prom later in the season I believe that the suits were rentals and you can't always find a rental suit that perfectly fits.

2025-01-10 02:01:42 +0000 UTCI love this but it also makes me sad knowing that cory wanted to marry Lea in real life but the only chance he got to say that was to her character in this ep.
