She has been very open about how this album is directly related to her past 3 to 4 years and it's incredibly personal and true to her. Idk if the mv itself has any real things that actually happened or if they're just visual representations of the toxicity she talks about in the song but my bet is that there's definitely true elements, like the skateboard (she had a phase where she was learning how to skate) and the chess (she also used that reference in the "Gone" mv).
