2024-11-08 07:38:13 +0000 UTCThe majority of my childhood was good home life and decent school life. It’s shifted a bit in high school to decent at school and rough at home but I’m past that now. Kind of. But I love that they showed that Quinn friendship and am really upset that we never see it again after the next episode. It’s like we can’t have long term friendships unless they involve Rachel. I love Quinn’s number! I knows it’s like the least popular solo of hers but it fits her voice so well and you can just tell that Diana had a great time doing it! The rotating belly dance will forever be burned in my brain but the song is great! I don’t know why they had Quinn apologize to Mercedes though. She had every right to sing that song. Just because she’s white doesn’t mean she can’t sing about her feelings in a funky way? Definitely giving 2010 vibes there. Also side note: where was Artie’s funk number? You know he would have killed it! Fun fact, that actually was Kurt’s voice! He surprised the music team by being able to sing that low and everyone still doubted it was actually him and even talked about it in multiple interviews. But it is understandable to not believe it given how his regular voice sounds. Goes to show you how much vocal note rage he has. I thinks it’s the lowest note in the show too.

He also had a teacher and all his peers encouraging him to act like that. I don't deny what he did was shitty, but we all make mistakes and do bad things. Especially at that age when the approval of your peers seems like everything. None of us are perfect. The point is we learn from them and grow. Some people stay stuck in that mentality forever.

2024-11-07 17:51:13 +0000 UTCSo about the egg thing, a lot of people had an issue with Rachel and Jesse being endgame because of what Jesse did, and I get that, but at the same time, he apologised later and obviously regretted it. Don't get me wrong, it was still shitty of him, but he did grow and change. I think it's just because we didn't really see his growth as much as compared to some other characters who were regulars or had more recurring appearances. I mean, we didn't see him at all in seasons 4, 5 and 6 up until the last few episodes of S6. So people forget that and are stuck on who he was in the first season. Also, some people say Finn is no better than Jesse because he also previously threw eggs at Rachel (it was mentioned in the pilot when he came back to Glee club and said he didn't wanna be the guy driving around throwing eggs at people, to which Rachel asked "that was you?"). But, even though both was wrong, I don't think it's the same or comparable. Finn throwing eggs at Rachel occurred before they even knew each other and it wasn't a targeted thing. Jesse chose Rachel specifically and was able to trick her because she TRUSTED him. He also knew it would hurt her even more because she's vegan and doesn't eat eggs (in reality the eggs were real but vegan, because Lea Michele was vegan at the time. I think she's vegetarian now, meaning she eats dairy but no meat or fish). Anyway, I kinda get Mercedes' point of view in that as a black woman she faces much more scrutiny and judgement on a daily basis than a white, traditionally beautiful, skinny, blonde, popular cheerleader. It seemed kinda tone deaf of Quinn to act like such a victim when she's only experienced half of what some of the other kids have. But I also agree with your point that you don't know what someone else is going through and people who appear to have the perfect life actually don't. So I see both sides. Finally, Will hitting on Sue is so cringe 🤦🏼♀️🤢 So much so that I think it's worse than him rapping 😂 Fun facts: The intro and ending to Give Up the Funk were actually sung by Chris Colfer and weren't computerised. He just has a very wide vocal range. Naya does what has been dubbed the "Naya Dance" during the performance as well. The name of Quinn's backing group, the "Unwed Mothership Connection" is a play on the title of the Parliament album that Give Up The Funk is featured on. Goofs/continuity errors: The episode was originally supposed to air before 1x20 but the order was switched because they went over their budget in that episode. Also, the American Idol season finale was to be aired right before and they knew they would get more viewers for whichever episode was aired after that so they switched them. There are some slight continuity errors in some episodes because of this, most notably the sudden change of heart from Jesse towards Rachel. It is said that Rachel is a vegan. However, in 1x05 she was eating pepperoni pizza with Finn on their bowling date. Also, it is later clarified that she is actually a vegetarian, which means that she can still have dairy.
