It's funny because even though they did migrate from pagers to cell phone pages in Grey's, in real life, doctors and residents still use pagers in the hospital. And as a travel OR nurse it's interesting to see the differences between hospitals. At my home hospital (Ohio) all you could do was write a callback number. Where I am now (Seattle π€) you can write a message on the page.
