2024-12-08 20:03:45 +0000 UTCIf you notice during the cafeteria scene of Santana and Artie during 2x04, Artie (Kevin) and Santana (Naya) rarely make eye contact/he never looks at her for more than a second. In his podcast, he says that this is due to the fact that Naya and him could not be in scenes together because they would automatically break, and this take was the one of the only usable ones. So for a majority of the scene, he’s looking straight ahead.

2024-11-08 22:16:27 +0000 UTCIkr! But apparently it was to do with contracts. So he was set to be paid for a certain amount of episodes so they had no choice but to pay. But kevin had had a thing happen to do with a contract the had with his old boy band and he had to pay himself out of it and so it was taken from his paychecks til it was paid. And apparently he was really annoyed cause he had to do that and Mark got to be off and get paid haha

2024-11-01 20:11:01 +0000 UTCSuspended with pay always sounds like a reward. Like I get it if something needs investigation, but in this case, he had obviously done the thing he wasn’t supposed to. If they were deciding whether to fire him, I wouldn’t have paid him to take a week off work.

Also during that songs filming, that some award council members came to the set to visit and Chris performed La Jazz Hot for them live with no music. Soon after that, Chris got an award nomination. (I forgot if it was PCA or Emmy.) During Rocky Horror, Amber got stuck in the elevator for 20 minutes. And it was Chris’s idea because he really wanted to play Riff Raff and asked Ryan.

2024-10-30 21:42:31 +0000 UTCEpisode 4 - Mike chang gets the most lines he's had so far since becoming a glee member. Sue isn't in this episode and neither is puck. The reason puck isn't there is because the actor had released an album unofficially and it was breaking his contract to do so and so he got suspended with pay for a couple episodes. The use of the term scissoring was its first use on a tv show that was put on before watershed. It got global coverage. Kevin has said that he and naya wouldn't be able to keep a straight face doing a lot scenes and on the one where she's telling him Brittany is using him, he couldn't look her in the eye and kept looking forward because they kept laughing. During river deep, mountain high. Brittany is sitting biting her nails and looking nearly directly at the camera. Kevin and jenma have said thst she wasn't acting it was just heather being heather. In happy days, lea mimics Barbara's movements from the original performance nearly identically. Jenna and heather dance in la jazz hot and jenna jas said it was sooo difficult for her to do the dance and keep up with all the other dancers. She is also notably a lot shorter than the others making the kick line look funny in her opinion. The Hollywood foreign press visited set whole they were rehearsing la jazz hot and the music cut out. After a short pause chris decided to sing it live and keep it going and the dancers followed suit as they all wanted to impress. Later he would go on to win a golden globe and be nominated for an emmy. I dont knlw much background for episode 5 other than the girls ( mostly jenna and heather i think) hated some of their costumes cause they were really uncomfortable. The boys felt self conscious particularly cory , chord and Matt Morrison. And I believe Matt and chord were on a crazy diet to prepare for this episode.

2024-10-30 20:10:38 +0000 UTCFor 2x04: Chris said that Happy Days Are Here Again/Get Happy was the hardest song he ever had to lip-sync and they kept messing up the words during filming because many sentences are repeated only with different endings. -Naya and Amber said their favorite number they've done together is River Deep, Mountain High. -Puck is absent in this episode, as he is in juvie. For 2x05: This is Glee's first tribute episode honoring a musical as opposed to a singer or band. The second was West Side Story in The First Time and the third was Grease in Glease. -Lea played the role of Janet in a benefit concert, with Matthew playing Brad, months before the airing of the episode. -Chris hair had to be glued down for him to play the mostly-bald Riff Raff. -Amber said the costume she wore was very tight, but in it, she felt like a man in a dress. -This is the first episode that contains a wordplay with the word "Glee" in its title, the others being A Very Glee Christmas, Saturday Night Glee-ver, Glease, and Glee, Actually.

2024-10-30 18:58:40 +0000 UTC2x04 Rachel and Kurt sing a medley of the songs Happy Days Are Here Again and Come on, Get Happy. This combination and arrangement was first performed by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland on an October 1963 episode of The Judy Garland Show. Rachel's and Kurt's costumes in this scene are also nods to the duet: Barbra wore a white satin sailor-style blouse with a dark tie and Rachel wears a replica of that top; Judy wore a shiny dress and Kurt wears a shiny suit. In a "blink and you'll miss it" moment, while the kids are voting for the winner of the duets competition, you'll notice that Mercedes votes for "Mercedes & Satan" in an obvious jab at Santana. Brittany has 30 notches carved into her bed to represent her "conquests". They can be seen on the front left top rail. Kurt mentions that Make 'Em Laugh in Singin' in the Rain is a duet. It is, in fact, a solo number performed by Donald O'Connor. The closest to a duet it gets is when he uses a life-size rag doll as a prop. The big Gene Kelly/Donald O'Connor number is Moses Supposes. When Mercedes and Santana sing their duet, Sam's bangs are freshly cut far above his forehead. Then in the next scene, his bangs return to their normal long hanging in his eyes look. Obviously it was filmed out of sequence. In the locker room while he is talking to Finn, Sam's hair is wet. A minute later when he gets slushied, his hair is dry. After his conversation with Kurt, Sam fails to close his locker before they walk away. When Brittany is carrying Artie to her bed, he slightly lifts his legs as she places him on the bed. 2x05 Sue says that she took her sister to a midnight Rocky Horror showing once and complains that the audience was so enraged there was a disabled person in the audience that they threw toast at them. Throwing toast is one of the many standard audience participation features of all midnight screenings of the movie. The two men in suits who visit Sue are played by Barry Bostwick and Marvin Lee "Meat Loaf" Aday, who played Brad and Eddie in the movie. The lips in the opening credits belong to Santana and the song she sings also happens to be her first solo. Emma sings Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me in this episode, which is the song Jayma Mays auditioned with. When Finn as Brad is getting ready to do Sweet Transvestite he mentions that he knows he should be in his underwear. But he should not be in his underwear until after that song.

Meatloaf, who plays Barry Jeffries, plays Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show film. One of his songs was also featured in the show's third season (Paradise by the Dashboard Light).
