I completely agree with you Audrey! I would 100% cheer my friend on even if the guy was not in to me. Btw I have done this in real life too! It wasn't a celebrity but I did it. Unfortunately when the tables turned my friend was not so understanding and got very very jealous and spiteful :( but this was ages ago and she has done alot of healing bless her!

I think normally there is a certain "girl code" you should abide by, that if your friend likes someone you don't go after them, even if the other person isn't interested in them. Doesn't mean you have some sort of claim over them, it's just a nice thing to do as friends. But a celebrity is different so I absolutely think Rachel was in the right. They were both acting pretty childish though and I'm glad Phoebe was there to be the "mediator" 😂 Anyway, E12 and this one were aired after the Super Bowl so that's why they had all these famous guest stars. Matthew Perry and Julia Roberts were indeed dating at the time, but they broke up shortly after filming this episode. In his memoir, Matty said he broke up with her because he felt like he was "unlovable" and "could never be enough", which is really sad. Fun fact: Julia Roberts's sister, Lisa Roberts Gillan, plays the other production assistant who is also Joey's date. And show creators Kevin Bright, David Crane and Marta Kauffman also act as director/film crew.
