I also remember liking Puckleberry when I first watched this show in high school. I don’t really like anyone with Puck anymore, but totally understand the feeling of wanting them together!

And Will started HS as a nerd but had a summer glow up after Bryan Ryan graduated ( mentioned he was 4 years older) and he became popular, which is when Terri noticed him. Not canon but there’s enough pieces to put it together.

2024-08-09 17:30:31 +0000 UTCActually i would say there are many inconsistencies with Will's backstory, cause sometimes he is portrayed like he was kind of a loser, but other times he was the "golden boy", Terri literaly says "i'm not the cheerleader and you're not the golden boy anymore" or something around those words in an episode...

That would’ve been fun to see play out. The thong song is truly one of the worst songs on glee. The context isn’t terrible but it’s not great, and everything from the scene to the vocals, to the dancing is just bad. This is what gives glee a bad rep. When someone brings it up in a glee discussion, I can’t defend the show at that point. Liking Puck and Rachel isn’t as unpopular as you think. They were a hit when these episodes first aired and you can look up videos of fans asking Ryan if he was going to do more with them. So they are sweet together and it’s not the last we see of them. Season 1 has a lot of obvious inconsistencies. Sometimes I feel more than the other seasons. Especially with the minor storyline of giving Sue their setlist. But speaking of Sue, her cat insult is one of my favorites! IDK why but the delivery is so funny! Fun fact: the Mercedes line about her weave was created by Amber Riley herself. As for LOTR hot men consideration: Aragon and Legolas’s dad. Just putting it out there.

2024-08-09 01:02:28 +0000 UTCSo two things: I don't think Ken is a sweetie. There's a scene in the long version of the pilot where he licks Emma's car to mess with her OCD. He does deserve to be in a relationship with someone who wants to be with him but he's also kind of a jerk. He was really obnoxiously pushy with her early in the show. And he seems pretty bad with the kids. And Sue's line about the cat. I think the line originally involved hurting the cat and Jane Lynch is a vegan who didn't want to say that so now it's just punching Will in the face.

The bad boy+good girl trope has been popular forever, lol. I think of Danny and Sandy in Grease or even more recently than that the Twilight & Fifty Shades of Grey crazes. As well as all the franchises spawned from those since.
