2024-08-09 03:06:02 +0000 UTCThis episode has one of my favorite Sue lines! When Will touches her in Figgins office. So funny! But definitely full of things that would not fly today! Like the cronk club line or Schue calling everyone an equal minority in a high school because of an optional club. Also leave it to Mr. Schue to acknowledge the minority issues but make it about everyone and gives the final song to Finn and Rachel, again. I get that it was finding connections between everyone but it’s very 2009.😬 My favorite song is probably Hate on Me. I love Tina’s ab lib in the background, it’s so good! Also I love Kurt, but he was so cringy during that number.😂 But does anyone else not care for the Quinn solo? In fact, it’s one of my least favorite Quinn vocals in the entire show. The scene is great and I’m glad to get a break from all of the Will, Finn, and Rachel songs, but it felt a bit to strained to my ears at least. But I can’t deny that it’s very iconic. Some fun facts: 1) Chris hated the sweater he wore during Hate One Me because it was very hot and kept shedding. 2) In the final number when Kurt and Quinn are dancing together and are smiling, that is Chris and Dianna breaking character. 3) Ride Wit Me was done by the cast on set one day in between filming and it was added into the episode last minute. Which is why it’s such a feel-good moment.

2024-08-02 06:35:35 +0000 UTCWell I mean it’s not like the second time when Puck is actually singing it to Quinn and she’s just sitting there. The whole group including Quinn was singing the song so it’s an odd choice not to have her singing the lead when the build up to it was her being outed as pregnant to the whole school. But it was during the time when Finn and Rachel were given the majority of the leads in the group numbers. There’s just so many numbers I wish they had given lead to Quinn. It’s just like when Quinn starts off the song Control with the speaking lines and then they make it a Blaine and Artie duet. Like why not make it a Quinn and Blaine duet.

I did think it was weird that it was a Rachel and Finn duet. Could have been just Finn or the whole glee club getting solos but it was weird that Rachel took lead

Also Quinn’s fantasy in her solo opened the door to people thinking she could be bisexual. And what eventually lead to the whole Quinn and Rachel ship. It’s this moment that Terri knows there’s no going back and I personally feel like in that moment, how can she not feel like a horrible person to put it nicely.

Doesn’t make sense to me as Quinn is the one who literally needs to keep holding on after losing her status and being a Cheerio.
