I just watched this and it left a very sour taste in my mouth - the Taylor’s Version episode felt very watered down and paints her as being emotional and paints the fans as being rabid and hysterical. The Scooter’s Version feels much more structured and aggressive in the narrative it’s putting forward by bringing in his family’s tragic background, painting him as victim of fandom hate (as if Taylor hasn’t been through the exact same thing but from many fanbases all at the same time) and painting Taylor as some sly, manipulative woman who only has a career because she came from rich parents and has deluded para-social fans. Considering there’s two episodes, one for “each side”, overall it still feels very one-sided

2024-06-20 20:11:59 +0000 UTCAlso I think the original posters point was if Audrey was planning on watching something obviously biased towards Scooter and count that as TS content then it’d only be fair to watch something biased towards TS’ account of the situation to balance that out. But yes either way there’s bias if watching one or the other, that’s the point. I agree with watching a completely different neutral third party thing instead. But I don’t think there was anything wrong with her asking to watch a biased TS thing if she watches a biased Scooter thing and calls that TS content since from the comments most of us aren’t interested in it.

Someone not emotionally tied to either side will just put out the facts instead of their personal feelings. No dramatics. Just simple facts. And again that doesn’t mean I think Taylor is somehow in the wrong I’m just saying that I think if you are trying to find the facts you should always be going to a source that’s not connected. Thats just how you research.

2024-06-19 20:44:41 +0000 UTCFrom what I've heard (after literally hearing about it first on here) it reminds me of that Glee doc making money off of the real life tragedies that almost none of the cast or crew was involved with and were disgusted by. I still haven't seen it and I don't want to. But as for this, I think you should watch it if you wanna watch it (you're not a "bad Swiftie" if you do) and I would probably watch it through your reaction. It's just odd they didn't announce it until a few days before air date.

Cause hearing from this movie, apparently is only gonna get scooter side, but a Swifty is going to be heavily geared to defend Taylor. So truly if she’s. I think if you were to watch some thing that went down in the lower of this, maybe find a YouTube video of a Swiftie talking about what happened. We could have a whole discussion based on one YouTube video if you find something good or if somebody sends in one!
