2024-06-06 06:01:08 +0000 UTCI think Gaga studied with a vocal coach for a bit before the performance to make sure she gets it right. Because even though she got her start in musical theatre, she’s used to doing pop for a long time. I agree with you that it seems like the biggest critique is the notes forcing her to sing really low towards the end. Like whoever put this tribute together wanted to keep it as close to the original as possible. But she definitely did the movie justice!

And I feel like when you dive more into her you’ll see that. She studied at the Lee Strasberg theater and film institute as a teen. And she attended nyu Tisch school of musical theater before she dropped out to focus on her music career. But she literally was told at NYU that when she sang pop it was too musical theater.

She never allowed herself to be sexy so during this time she was still finding herself in being a woman and no longer the little 16-year-old girl who writes wholesome country songs. Now at the eras tour, she Embraces all parts of herself! And like you said, she really has come into her own person. Now she’s no longer trying to be the good girl. She’s being exactly who she wants to be and that’s herself.
