Henry started to be affected by Pan when he was in fresh grief after his " dream " of seeing his dad . That deep sorrow was the in that Peter Pan needed to reach Henry . Hook had been focused on being a man of honour so when he found out how dishonourable the King was Hook was eager to follow his brother in fighting corruption . When his brother died he was so overcome by grief and anger he desired to be rid of everything the corrupt King stood for . The becoming a pirate so quickly makes sense as he was desperate to find some way of still being a man of honour . Honour among thieves . Totally different topic . Did anyone else take note of " as you wish " as a nod to " The Princess Bride " πβ€οΈ
