COCO - MOVIE WATCH PARTY

I'm sobbing ,I did it to myself tho, by watching it today (April 18th), since its been 15 years since my grandma passed... going back to you asking about other mexican/spanish singers i see a lot of good artist in the comments above but there is one tho that i havent seen written down (or maybe i missed it). That would be Selena Quintanilla. she was a great Mexican-Amercian, Tejano singer. She has some amazing songs and ballad songs. shes a real legend, especially in most of Texas which is where shes from. Even though she died at a young age (you can look up her story or see the movie about her) she is still loved and talked about to this day in Texas. i hope to see if you listen and maybe even like her songs

Hello! It seems im a little late to the party, im sorry to hear about your chihuahua. I know what's it like, i lost mine close to 10 years ago in a hit and run. Being from a mexican family we have him and his little collar on our ofrenda every year. Idk if you'll see this so I'll post this on the youtube video just in case. For strong female vocals, there was a grammys performance a few years back, three generations of female mexican singers singing La Llorona, which you heard in this movie. Three of the biggest names in mexican music with very different styles, I highly suggest reacting to it. Angela Aguilar, Natalia Lafourcade, and Aida Cuevas. Wonderful video regardless, I hope the pain of your loss fades but your memories dont. Have a wonderful day.

This movie messes me up. It’s absolutely amazing but I just can’t watch it without crying. My grandma has dementia and it just makes me think of her. One day, she’s gonna be like Coco and that is just heartbreaking. My sister and I have “ofrenda’s” for our family members. They aren’t much cause we aren’t part of that culture- but we grew up around it in New Mexico. But I have a picture of my great grandpa and his second wife. I’m hoping for us to make an actual ofrenda in our home this year, putting more pictures of family up. But, this movie really hits me for so so many reasons.

Coco always makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm glad you got to experience it.
