Also she employs a full staff of people, so some of the pressure to keep going is still there, in addition to trying to solidify her legacy.

I specifically purchased Panteon to hear your reaction to "16 Carriages". This song moves me. It's like the "crashes" in the song force you to sit up and pay attention. Her vocals, the musical swell through the song, her heartbreaking lyrics and the change in cadence make this a masterpiece 💗💗. "38 Summers and I'm not in my bed"... can you imagine never being home? She's 42. This was written. 4 years ago and is just being released now. The vulnerability in her voice... I had never thought about Beyonce missing her childhood. I was too busy poppin to her music. She was working hard at this way before age 16, which is kind of sad to me.

There’s another version of 16 carriages that someone made with the melody of Alicia Keys’ Never see me Again and it sounds way better but more R&b! I like that one better. I love Texas Hold ‘em it’s fun.

16 carriages immediately resonated with me, and other that had to grow up to fast. At 16 she had to give up her childhood to make her parent's sacrifices worth it. Dreams could be all the normal things she didnt get to experience. Fears can be her gaining her confidence in her career and longevity.

It took me a bit to understand 16 carriages too! Basically 16 carriages represent 16 years of her life and all of the sacrifices she’d had to make to create a legacy and a family at the same time. So it’s super cool the lines change between ‘dreams’ and ‘fears’ because each carriage (or year) contains both dreams and fears - she’s working so hard to create art and love and there’s a tension with this, which is the same tension she creates musically! I would def give this a few more listens because it’s become one of my favorite Beyonce songs of all time :)
