This is definitely one of my fav Glee episodes. So glad to get to enjoy the watch party. Also, looking forward to you reacting to I Know Where I've Been from Glee at some point. Also, I'd love to see you react to songs from a cappella group Home Free as well as more from Descendants 2 & 3 and Teen Beach Movie & Teen Beach 2.

The tours were so fun to watch the videos for - I really wish I had been able to go see them live.
I love the return of Sassy!Kurt in this episode, and just how much tension was in all the relationships. The Rumours album was the perfect soundtrack for it. I only wish they had slid in a duet for Kurt and Blaine of You Make Loving Fun (since they were going strong and it would be a nice counterpoint to all the rumors going around). I would have LOVED that.

The first tour is probably my favorite, all the songs they sang were really good. You can 100% tell it is live from the vocals, diffiencieries, different notes, different voices, etc. Tbh, their live songs in this link I sent is better than their recorded vocals, which is actually very weird but very impressive

If you were going to react to the glee movie, I also recommend watching the Glee concert (clips) from Season 1 if you can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0LnAjyhlKs Most people don't realize there was a concert for season 1 as season 2 was made into a movie

This is one of my fav episodes. It’s funny because at the time, I had no idea who Fleetwood Mac was. 15yro me was getting quite the musical education from this show. Now I’m a huge fan and actually saw them in concert back in 2019.
As for the Brittany, Santana, Artie situation, it’s not just his insecurities. Santana was trying to undermine their relationship and convinced Brittany that it’s not cheating if you do it with a woman. Which there’s multiple layers to that because she did have feelings for Santana and they had a physical relationship too.
You should definitely listen to the full length version of a lot of the songs from Glee. Most of them get cut down for the show, which is why it was always exciting to get them on iTunes. I mean now you can use Spotify or Apple Music.

Will and April were singing "Nice to Meet You, Have I Slept With You". Glee actually released full versions of that and another April Rhodes original, "It's 10 AM And I'm Drunk" and they're both hilarious.

Rachel was right tho, Quinn's voice goes sooo well with Sam's. and although Rachel/Finn is not my favorite Rachel voice association, it is in fact better than Quinn/Finn. i do love some Rachel and Quinn together tho!! even if we didn't have a lot! i think my fav Rachel's duet partner has to be Santana or Blaine. but Jesse >>>

i remember when this ep came out, i absolulety didn't know who were "fletwood mac" or "stevie nicks" so having an entire ep with songs i didn't know was so weird and... i absolutely loved it! obviously all the songs are from the album "rumors" and i absolutely love the glee covers AND the original album now! i listen to them so often, i'm glad i discovered it through glee! (i'm sad they didn't do "the chain" tho!!!)
Naya's cover of "songbird" is truly raw and beautiful. raw is the best adjective i can give this cover. it weirdly doesn't sound perfect? not that she's singing wrong or bad, but there's so much emotion and rawness in her voice, that it's not your typical glee cover, but it's one of the prettiest! and the context of it is also beautiful! (also Lea covered "songbird" on her latest album a few months ago and it's so crazy to hear her do this song! also it's nothing like Naya's version, obviously lol it would be weird, she sings it more traditionally like the original one. it's also beautiful, but in a different way)
"go your own way" is a top 5 Rachel solo imo and the full version is even better! frankly, this version doesn't do her justice, she delivers some impressive runs and high notes at the end of the full version, you should check it out! just like Naya's song, it's very raw. in a different way obviously, not bc of emotions, but maybe bc we don't usually hear Rachel sing this type of songs, and this song is not made for her voice, but it's so good. over the show, she has those songs, 5 or 6, where her voice just sounds even better than usual. it's almost like her voice is on the verge of breaking, it kinda looks like a "tired voice", a bit strained, but i absolutely love it! it's not as polished or perfect by the people working on the song in the studio. it's my favorite kind of Rachel's songs
overall i love this episode, and i love the songs. i think it's really cute what everyone is doing with Sam and overall, this ep felt very much real "school life". all the rumors, it's high school!!

This was such a fun episode, I remember when it first came out and immediately purchasing all of the songs on iTunes. There isn’t a bad cover in the entire episode.
Fun fact: Stevie Nicks came to set while they filmed this episode and told Cory Monteith, or “Jesse’s Girl guy” as she called him, that she was a fan of his. When he passed she sent Lea, who was his girlfriend at the time, a moon pendant necklace and a book about grief with handwritten notes in it. I’ve always loved that little factoid, such a lovely thing for her to have done.
It’s funny to see Rachel wear pants, it doesn’t happen often. I think it really only happens twice (not counting pantsuits or jumpsuits lol).
I looove Naya’s cover of Songbird, it’s gorgeous and makes me cry every time. She and Heather put such thought into their portrayal of this relationship and though I do cringe at some of the emotional manipulation on Santana’s part, I understand why she feels she has to do things the way she does. Plus they’re teenagers and this is fiction, it’s no fun without the drama lol.
The last 3 episodes are the trifecta of perfect episodes, each one is a gem, I’m sooo excited for you to watch them! Thank you for your reaction and goodnight!

This is one of my favorite episodes from the series. As someone who loves Fleetwood Mac's music I have to say I love every cover in this episode. My favorite cover from this episode is Naya's version of "Songbird".

Bah! I love this episode so much. So much drama and I’m here for it! Every song in this episode was perfect and fit the storylines so well. And we get the “ridiculous melted cheese show” that is the glorious Fondue for Two.
Heather said last month at the Liverpool ComicCon that her most memorable and emotional scene was when Naya sang Songbird to her. She cried every time Naya sang to her and I don’t blame her for a second because I still tear up every time I watch that scene. Naya said that when she listened to the demo of Songbird they gave her that she cried and didn’t even know how she would get through the song without crying. There’s a fantastic interview of the two of them from 2011 that I’d definitely worth reading. https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a340304/glee-naya-rivera-heather-morris-interview-everyones-obsessed-with-fondue-for-two/
I also think this is the one and only time that I have said that I want Rachel’s shirt (the one she’s wearing during “Go Your Own Way”).

This is the episode that helped cement Sam as one of my favorite characters. I found him to be sweet and sincere and just trying to navigate his way through difficult circumstances and it was nice to get a glimpse of his family life. He seems like a pretty awesome big brother.
I always have to remember that they're teenagers and that with all the miscommunication that goes on, it's pretty consistent with how teenagers are. Given with how cheating and gossip runs rampant in this group, it's no wonder that things got so out of hand so fast.
The thing that I'm noticing with Glee is that they really push certain pairings to the forefront and then they play yo-yo with the relationships having them break up and they're often quick to re-pair them with someone else only to have them break up just as quickly and then they circle back. I wish that they would have allowed them more room for growth and learning from their experiences. There are a few select characters that show great character arcs throughout the show.
