Omg you talk whey to much in this episode it's so annoying! I loved when it was only you and sometimes Danny, but this Is just annoying, cause I can't here anything they say when you're friend just talks over it all the time, and you miss important things that confuses you.... arrhhhh so frustrating

You were confused about things that were being explained in this episode because of the nonstop talking. Like when Kurt was visiting Dalton Academy after being sent there by the guys who were just trying to get rid of him.

And then my sophomore through senior year, I would go and grade papers for my teachers during my lunch breaks for extra credit. High school was an AWFUL period of my life, but it honestly made me the stronger person that I am today. Thank you for sharing your experience!!!!

And as a closeted gay kid, seeing Kurt and Blaine's budding relationship was something that completely rocked my world. I grew up in a very religious conservative household in the midwest and I can honestly say that this show is one of the reasons that I was ultimately able to come out to my friends at school. Without it, I don't know that I would have at the time. There just wasn't a lot of queer representation, in a high school setting, on TV. There was a little bit here and there, but gLee really took the time to explore queer relationships and, for that reason, Kurt and Blaine will always have a really soft spot in my heart. I actually got choked up watching this and seeing the way that Blaine sings "Teenage Dream" directly to Kurt... I'm 28 now and I just remember how BADLY I wanted another boy to sing to me like that at the time (and even still to this day, tbh lol 😆).

Make a firm line even for the little things since those often grow quickly into more and more bullying. There enough crap that teenagers have to deal with that at least they should feel like the faculty has their back.

I have gay friends who never faced this kind of bullying for their sexuality at their school. But at mine, I had people write homophobic slurs all over my locker and call me names and the faculty wouldn't do anything about it despite me knowing who did it all. It's awful, and I wish all schools would have adopted the policy Dalton Academy has, and would follow through. Too many schools preached no bullying but wouldn't act on it when it was happening.

But the actor who plays Puck (Mark Salling) WAS a pedo, so there's that. on a lighter note, I love the girls' mashup. Not because it's a great song, I just love them singing in the leather because I'm a giant lesbian xD If we're going on vocals, as much as I don't like Blaine, Teenage Dream was really well done.

I get what you're saying about Kurt and Blaine not confronting Karofsky in public, but at the same time they were probably afraid to confront him in private themselves especially with his history with Kurt. The songs are fantastic in this episode

The only other thing I can think of was when he played The Grinch, but I don't remember that being that big of a deal.

2022-03-20 06:19:35 +0000 UTCOn the "how Kurt identifies" question. There is a transgender character introduced later, and at that point Kurt makes it very clear that he considers himself a boy/man. He just has some "feminine" interests. I also think he plays up that femininity as a defense mechanism. Because as the show goes on and he feels more comfortable/accepted, his clothing becomes more masculine.

2022-03-20 06:00:43 +0000 UTCI listened to a Podcast that read through the script for this episode. It's really amazing how much the direction and performances elevated pretty basic writing. Just from the script, you would never guess how iconic Blaine's introduction would be on screen. This was pretty typical for the other Glee scripts they read through. So, the contributions of the directors and actors cannot be overstated. Also, Blaine wasn't originally intended to become a regular part of the show, He was supposed to be around for a few episodes only. But then "Teenage Dream" became the most successful Glee cover to date, so the writers changed the storyline to keep him around. Also, props to the college Acapella group that did the vocals for the Warblers!

What a terrible way for someone to have their first kiss. And why did Will make it seem like it was all the guys? It was literally just Sam (and Tina, but she's a straight woman - so of course she'd not going to find Beiste sexy). Also, Mike! Think! You told Tina about people using Bieste to cool off literally 30 seconds ago! Why are you jumping to conclusions?

Need to add, This is for Hailey, She recognized Cory from Kyle XY because he was on Kyle XY. You should bring her back later for some of the funnier episodes later. I hope maybe Danny comes back for next week, it's Holly Holliday time. And who played her, then the next we see why Sue is why she is when her mother shows up and who that is playing her. Big storylines coming up.
