I'm trying out a bold new technique here: instead of using my weird framerates of anywhere between 15-20 fps, I'm doing what the animation industry has done forever in this one and using a mix of 1s (24fps) and 2s (12fps).
I think that's why a lot of the youtube comments on Alien: Monday were going on about how weird the animation looked. They're used to seeing the commonly accepted framerates and anything above that looks weird to the human eye. Like those Hobbit moves from 2012 that were filmed at 48 fps(!!) and looked utterly bizarre when they moved compared to the usual 24fps that all movies used.
Anyway, let me know what you think. On the plus side, animating on 2s is waaaaay easier, work-wise, that doing the constant 18fps shots I did on Monday!
