Well, these shots are inked so I'm just starting to colour them. The rotating background animation sequence at 21 seconds in is going to be a bit of a monster to shade, I can see it now!
Thanks to Maki for loads of help with fixing up faces, shading, and character acting on these sequences earlier on in production.
Attached below is a shading guide for what I'm thinking of going for.

The background in that final shot is 3D, yeah! It's rendered out as black and white lines and then I colour it by hand.
