VHS plugin

I've been messing around with getting a VHS effect on my work. First off, I animated a simple laugh:
Then I coloured it:
Then I dragged the clip into Sony Vegas and used a plugin called Universe VHS 2.2.

After lots of tweaking I arrived at the following settings, if you want to try them for yourself:

And the final result:
Obviously I'm not about to slap a flickery VHS filter on my finished films! But it's quite an interesting result and something to help me consider what kind of finishing touches I think would help the work most while keeping it enjoyable for viewers and myself as the creator.
I sincerely hope to include more smug laughter in my work going forward.
