But on a serious note - I recommend looking into Clip Studio Paint. It used to be called Manga Studio, and "Clip Studio" is an awful name. BUT....it is soooooo much better than Photoshop for manga/comics stuff. Also, regarding Disney not being keen on Star Wars fan works, what about if you did a mashup? Like X-Wings that turn into Mechs? Sort of a Robotech or Starscream from Transformers? Maybe some 3D model modifications and custom paint jobs? Like...a parody. Aren't parodies protected?
