Story Timed Exclusivity Ending in July. Patreon Turning into a Tip Jar from July Onward

I have never really liked the delay between something going live on Patreon to something going live publicly. The delay between the Patreon release and the public release felt like it killed some of the excitement of a new story, both for me and for others. 

When I first began this Patreon, it was to provide myself with some income in the face of unemployment. It was a helpful way to stay afloat. I will always be especially thankful for those of you here who supported me throughout 2018 and 2019 during that tough era. Now though,  I’m more comfortable in my life financially \than I ever have been before. The extra patreon dough is helpful, but I don’t feel I need to use timed exclusivity with my finished stories anymore to incentivize it.

For the month of June, I will continue to post exclusive stuff here that will go live publicly in the future. Once July 1st rolls around, newer stuff from me that isn’t ExTheHex will go live everywhere at once.

From July onward, there won’t be any timed exclusive new stories here, other than the ExTheHex series. When I’m done with a story, it’ll go live straight to everyone. June’s stories will drip out, and that will be the last of them from behind a paywall. This will functionally mostly reduce the roll of the Patreon to a tip jar, and a pile of unfinished stories for very invested readers of mine to enjoy. 

To compensate, my unfinished story series ExTheHex will now be a monthly feature starting in July.  ExTheHex stories will eventually go live for everyone too; I don’t want to keep anything behind a paywall forever. That said, I plan on there being a pretty substantial delay before they’re posted anywhere publicly as thanks for your support.

If you were here mostly for the stories posted ahead of time and have no interest in continuing to support me without that incentive, thank you still for your prior support. If you think you’ll leave, I would encourage you to consider redirecting your support to other artists who need the monetary boost.

There may be a point in the future where this changes, but that would need some drastic life changes. Don’t expect it unless I’m out of a job for a long while, or if I’m suddenly mega popular and can parlay this into full time self employment. Until then, this place will be a tip jar starting in July.
