ExTheHex Anthology #1: Unfinished Stories And Why

This is a little bit unconventional from my normal affair here. Let me know if you guys find this entertaining content while I scrap things together. I’ll keep making these if people like them.

November has put me in an odd situation. With the halloween story being free to be on time and the newest story being off patreon (It’s monsterfucking with pegasi which I think Patreon might not like all too much), I don’t have much to post to Patreon for a bit. There’s a chance it gets worse; I’m waiting on art for a thumbnail for a completed story for that to be posted, and there’s a chance I make a fan story of some art I like as another piece this month. Patreon very well might just have like a single new exlusive story or none at all for November, at this rate. 

I don't really like that prospect very much. With all that empty space, I decided I’d try something I’ve been wanting to do for a while: Have somewhere to post my unfinished and abandoned WIPs, at least the ones folks like you who like my stuff enough to support me might find interesting.

With these posts, I’ll be sharing some unfinished stories, some context as to what they are, and why they went unfinished. I do plan on making these public eventually, but the wait time will likely be a lot longer that the normal 3-4 weeks a story normally takes. I want yall to have something nice for your time.

With that, here are the first unfinished pieces I think might be fun shares:

Night Shift Nurse Joy: The Dead Second Game (NOV 2017)

It’s November 2017. About a month after I finished the Link CYOA, Link and the Temple of Lust, I set out trying to make another game. My intent was to give Hex Maniacs the due they deserve for being my namesake and to give them a big epic game to totally indulge my love of her.

Things didn’t end up going to completion. I was frustrated with the scope of twine when making my Link game, and I wanted to try maybe getting bigger. I made a pretty stupid choice and decided to try and code something myself with java and GUI stuff. The problem is, I’m a terrible programmer and I ended up just doing things the hard way for something twine was still probably the best at for my skill set, not to even mention all the decent VN engines out there. I ended up returning to twine and getting a better handle on it for Your Perfect Date in August of 2018, but I still don’t really want to make a game again anytime soon. It’s a lot of work!

Thankfully, I didn’t sink a lot of time into this particular endeavor and make a giant sprawling Hex Maniac story. I’ll talk about that some other day since I’ve taken a crack at it a few times, one of which is absolutely dead, and the other probably dead with several thousand words each. This game wasn’t meant to be that yet. I wanted something small as a test run starring a pretty Pokemon woman I hadn’t used yet: Nurse Joy.

The premise of the game was simple. You were a Nurse Joy about to endure night shift, when you decide to spice up your shift by injecting yourself with mystery chemicals. There were to be four syringes each, one for cock growth, one for breast growth, one for oviposition style stuff (note: I did not remember this one was planned until I wrote this post up lol) and one for gross stuff. There were supposed to be three events where you could shoot the stuff into you which altered the events slightly with fetish nonsense.

Ultimately, even precious little of that got written. While the skeleton was laid out, I only got around to writing the cock syringe for the first event. No path got written in full at all, except for one: opting out of all syringes. I won’t spoil what exactly happens, but it actually does make for a self contained story. Enjoy!

Unfinished Story: Night Shift Nurse Joy 

Ice Mommy (Male) (AUG 2022)

This one is far more recent. With Grusha’s reveal, I was legitimately really surprised he was a boy and wanted to hop on the early Pokemon pornography fun train like I have a few times prior. This one didn’t have any elaborate reason why it never released. Something just wasn’t clicking, and I felt pretty off healthwise that day in general, so it sort of just sat and rot until I lost all enthusiasm for it.

Unfinished Story: Ice Mommy (Male)

Back in 2020, I was struggling to reach my old productivity levels from the year prior with a new job. I had some free time, but it wasn’t often at my PC. Writing on my phone was something I was not at all used to, outside of like tweets, nothing longform. So, during a doldrum at work, I tried to write my first story on just my phone. It ended up being a pretty coherent 1000ish words, but I still felt I had to revise a lot to get it presentable. Ultimately, it just kinda sat on my phone for forever as that first draft, waiting to get polished up. In December of 2022 I tried to give it that polish I felt it needed, but it didn’t feel right. I changed and added on a few things before deciding starting fresh with the same premise would probably be around the same effort with a better product. So, here it is, left in an unfinished first draft.
