50) Patreon or Ko-Fi?
Added 2021-12-16 20:14:11 +0000 UTCHey gang, as you might have seen from my Twitter post, Im thinking about moving monthly updates from here on Patreon to Ko-Fi instead. That might be months down the line, probably closer to the next trailer's release or it might be at the end of December... if at all.
The reason being is I've seen some success with newbies popping into Ko-Fi and drop some cash which helps me pay for small odds-and-ends for the film and for myself. Its also due to Patreon's weird practices within the past few years including but not limited to their strong lean into Blockchain tech (which I personally am not in favor of).
Sound off in the comments yall cuz this impacts you. Each and every one of you who has stuck around deserves a say whether or not I'll stick around here. Most likely, if I open up a Ko-Fi, I'll keep basic items and updates open to the public but keep super special stuff behind a Tier, especially for you lot. That way you all can transition smoothly.
What do you all think?

I say go where the audience is, even if that isn't here. That being said, there's nothing saying you can't maintain a presence on two platforms simultaneously (unless you're affiliate on Twitch). I've just recently learned of using Postybirb to schedule posts across platforms simultaneously; maybe that can also work for you? If it comes down to one platform or the other, go where the money (or, barring that interaction) is. That's what I'd suggest.
