36) SQ-C Animation 95% Complete
Added 2021-03-26 00:54:14 +0000 UTCThe Cravens are hard as hell to draw out but I really like figuring them out! Its a huge exercise in getting the details correct according to the character models and all.
I adore how this came out cuz I tried to channel a very specific animator who's work I enjoy named Naotoshi Shida of One Piece, Dragonball and Sailor Moon fame. I wasn't able to work in his wibbly-windy-wobbly character movements in this shot but I'd like to work my way up to that at some point in this film. I DID however manage to fit in the crow obnoxiously swinging into the frame which is something not terribly specific to him (Aito Ohashi does this I think ALOT better) but I was thinking of how Shida might start the shot so I tried emulating that feeling while keeping meticulous details consistent which is something he's known for.
More to come on this one, fam! I might add in some streaks to add to the SPEED of the crow's movement but I'll do that this weekend when my wrists heal a bit more from overwork.
