Chapter 3 - DevLog 7 (rework focused)

I won't lie, this week has been pretty tough. However, the bare minimum remains for Ch1 to be completed...

Creating scenes is quite slow at the moment. It's not that I have a problem; it's just a bit more complicated because there's a memory with Lily and Brian, a memory where Olivia, MC, Martin, and Sam were kids... There's a lot, but nothing that cannot be managed. As I mentioned in the previous devlog, some scenes have been extended. I'll use the memory from the lake as an example. The scene in the old version had only 22 images. The new one is 60, and I still have the feeling that something is missing. Looking at the old scene, it's something incomparable with the new one (in terms of content). I really like this scene, but as always, I won't give away the details.

Writing for Ch1 is done. I keep trying to go back between dialogues to see if something can be done better, maybe add something or change it, but so far I'm very satisfied. People often think that rework is only about visuals, but that's not the case. I myself can see that the way I perceive and describe things when writing is also something I had to learn during that time, I guess. And whether it made any sense, I leave that to your judgment afterwards.

Of course, I've already started dealing with some things in the case of Ch2. The first thing I started with was the memory of Olivia fighting with Lily. My personal feeling is that this memoir has a good concept, but it didn't get too much attention, and more or less, the whole idea was kind of sloppy, maybe? So it's definitely one of the scenes (like the entire memory) that will be much bigger than in the old version, but only so that we can really immerse ourselves in everything that happened back then. To learn a little more about Sasha. Also look at what Olivia was like at the time when all these things happened, why she often argued with Lily, how much it changed their relationship, etc. So far, I've only made a sketch of how it could look; we'll see.
