Chapter2

Since the first release of the game, I've managed to successfully complete six new scenes for Ch2, and I'm still working on the seventh (the picture in the post belongs to it). These six new scenes were rendered at the same time; only post-work remains to be done there. There are about 6 or 7 more scenes that I'm still writing and have to create; we'll see how it goes.

In addition to these 6 scenes, I also made 2 sexy full animations that are part of MC and Sam (everyone can guess the rest, hehe), and I can say with certainty that they will be in Ch2 even if their rendering takes a long time. In addition, I have one more solo animation planned for Olivia and two more animations that I don't want to say anything about yet because I haven't started creating them yet.

In 22 days (which is the time since the first release), I made a total of 223 images and two animations. Personally, I think that's pretty decent considering that Ch1 had a total of 654 images. Personally, I think Ch2 could be slightly bigger (I hope), and the final number of images will stop at around 1000 + 5 full animations.

Phone

As I told you in the previous DevLog, a "phone" was added to the game. With this, I would like to close this topic, and I am happy to inform you that everything is working as it should. The phone has been tested, and so far there are two scenes in the game where you will have the chance to see it. I hope you like it. I tried to make it very simple but at the same time a bit "modern". I am satisfied, and in the future I will be even more

Gallery

I won't lie—me and coding are not very good friends, and if I create something, I try to do it in such a way that I can understand it in the future. Anyway, the gallery has been added to the game! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like what I imagined. The original plan was to create two sections for the gallery, one containing images and the other animations (it was more focused on cinematics). Due to my lack of knowledge, it didn't quite work out, so for now the gallery will remain just for pictures. There are still many things that I have to solve, but the basis and appearance of the gallery exist; it even works and has already been tested a bit. So yes, you can expect the gallery already in Ch2.

Important game info - I want to apologize!

I know a few of you have had problems with in-game videos (lags). According to the information I received at the beginning, it was not my fault but Ren'Py's. The recommendations I got were to update Ren'Py. I did that, but instead of fixing the problems, I feel like a few things went wrong even more.

I'm 100% sure that the save you made while playing Chapter 1 won't work for you after the release of Ch2. It doesn't work for me either and throws an error, so I had to do the "checkpoints" again and play the entire chapter from the beginning. I didn't have a problem with it because I still had to fix some mistakes, but it might be a problem for you.

As for the videos, I don't feel like the lags have been removed. I keep seeing my CPU go to 100% on some videos, causing lags, most likely on your end as well. I will try to work on the problem and hope to fix it somehow. I am not completely satisfied with it.

One of the possible solutions to eliminating the problem with saves is that I would re-release Ch1 before the new chapter is released so that you have the opportunity to click through choices again and save the game at the same time. It could save you time and won't delay you when Ch2 is released.
