I'm a bit late to this one, but I wonder if Temple Peak isn't a graphic novel because of all the paper/printing shortages? Edge of Balance Vol. 2 is only releasing digitally when it comes out (Vol. 1 was postponed three months originally), and Queen's Hope was pushed back till April, alongside a few other delays for non-Star Wars materials I follow—but I haven't heard anything to suggest that comic releases have been disturbed the same way. Maybe IDW or Marvel have a direct printer or supply chain that's more reliable than some others. They may have broken Temple Peak up because releasing as comics was the most surefire way to be able to release this story "on time," as it were.
