So...what now?
Added 2024-06-12 19:52:07 +0000 UTCNow, we embark on a journey towards the next version of the game, of course (well...as soon as the free release and the release for all the other tiers come out)
Will every version of the game also take 7 whole months to be released? No, of course not; for a long series of reason:
1) When I started working on this version of the game, I was new to this. I had to learn how to code properly, I had to solve a lot of personal issues with my private life, I had to find people who would work with me on this project and so on and so forth
2) While making version 0.1, I had to "create" this iteration of Remnant that my game takes place in, I had to "build" it, if you get what I mean. Now I only need to "expand it. Now I have backgrounds that I can re use (of course, future bits of the story will also require new locations, but I don't think it will be more than 4/5 each version)
3) Same goes for the character's sprites. Of course, Ironwood and 4 main girls will have new sprites (most if not all of them will probably come out in V 0.2, so this one specifically might still take a bit longer than all the ones that will come afterwards, even if it will definitely be less time than this one) but, again, I don't need to come up with 4/5 for each of them this time (however, depending on which girl wins the next poll, we might have some secondary character that will enlarge our cast a little)
4) Of course, I plan to hire a second artist yet again (hopefully whoever accepts the job will stick with me unitl the final version)
5) I am a loser and a social reject, so as soon as that torture called university ends, it's not like I will have a social life to dedicate my time and energy to for the summer
And that's all for today folks, as I previously mentioned, I will start again with the weekly updates around the beginning of July. During this time I will still try to write the story and get as much work as possible, but the art updates will have to wait until then.
