The future of this project

First of all, I want to reassure all of you guys: I didn't lose any of my determination to finish this game and see this through. However, RT shutting downs means that keeping my promise to finish the game is no longer something that depends on me alone. As most of you probably already know, RT shutting down means that RWBY is now sole property of WB, who si DYING to sell it off to someone else.
Like I mentioned in the "info" section of my patreon page, RT used to allow fan projects as long as said project would be avaiable for everyone. Also, keep in mind this page is not called "Ironwood rises again crowd funging", this is the patreon page of Jali1002, indie and self-taught developer of NSFW games who is currently working on James Ironwood rises again. Technically speaking, you are not fudning the game, you are funding myself. And like I said before, all of this used to be okay by RT.

But now...who knows who will buy RWBY? Maybe it will be some company who is extremly jealous of their IP and does not allow any sort of crowd funding for fangames (hell, there are some out there who do not allow fanmade project distributed FOR FREE)

So yeah, despite my better judgment and despite what all my friends IRL who know about this project tried to tell me...I want to come clean with you guys. James Ironwood rises again has an uncertain future, one for which I can no longer promise you guys a final product, since I have no control over who will buy RWBY and what their copyright laws are. Maybe I will be able to keep on doing this, maybe I will no longer be allowed to recieve pledges (in which case, I will keep working on it, but without updates and I will simply release it for free for everyone when it is ready), and then there is a small possibility (but I need to be intellectualy honest: SMALL, not non-existent) that I will have to delete all my previous posts and I will no longer be allowed to work on a RWBY fan game.

The very thought of it is making me shake in fear honestly. I love RWBY, I love writing, and I love to create a small, parallel universe of the stuff I like, it makes me feel like I became part of that world. I will not give up on this project if I can do anything at all about it, I promise. I love you guys and I appreciate all your support and our small interactions in the comments, see you next week
