Love your commentary. Pretty much agree with everything you said except for the stuff about Phasma. I think I feel about that type of character the way Mollie does about Boba Fett. I prefer to get wrapped in more crucial villains like Ren and Snoke. Also, the Holdo stuff is what frustrates me the most about this. I think we could have expanded on her's and Poe's characters to make this have the weight it deserves as opposed to people accusing them of being idiots. I felt like Rian had a lot of good ideas and some he did justice to like all the Force stuff and others like his commentary on war needed work. But i still really like this movie in spite of its considerable flaws. And I think it's virtues will be appreciated more as time goes on.
