I have done it for the first time in my life. Going without food for 33+hours. I only drank water 💧💧💧.
People do this for shorter time period, people do this for longer time periods. All with their own reasons and intentions 🙏 .
Even though it was just a little bit over a full day, I felt benefits. For example I didn't eat anything, but I went to the toilet a lot of times.
Sometimes my mind wanted me to eat something. It told me "Why not just have those oranges in the fridge? It is healthy. You don't have to do this." and so fort. I observed these thoughts, and didn't give into them. I felt in total control of my mind and body.

When I felt tired, I laid down. When I felt low, I drank some extra water. I did everything I felt like doing in the moment. I filmed a YouTube video (the one about protein, this one) that day and edited it. I noticed that I could have extreme focus, especially when I took sufficient breaks in between. I was fascinated by it.
I can't imagine what happens during a longer fast. I will eventually try out two days, then three and eventually 7 days. Who knows if I will do more than that. If I do more I will seek professional guidance.
I am interested in this because of my huge interest in health and spirituality. I know this is not for everybody. That is why I don't want to recommend it to just anyone. Going into this I didn't feel like I was starving myself, but others might feel that way or have that mindset thinking about fasting.
Oh yeah, when I wanted to go to sleep I had a hard time falling a sleep. My mind was so busy, my body felt really weird. The next morning I felt super dehydrated. And I tasted metals in my mouth. wawawiewa. I broke my fast with oranges. But the thing was, I didn't feel hungry at all. I wasn't craving anything.
I have heard before that true hunger isn't a feeling coming from the stomach, but you will feel it in the back of your throat. Hmmm.
