11 chapters! Hell yes, loving this story so far. I think you have a knack for spinning yarns that are familiar and therefore innately cozy to read (even when they take place in extremely non-cozy settings), because of how they're rooted in genre norms, but simultaneously really fresh, invigorating, and fun to read because of how damn inventive they are and how they depart from those genre norms. Excited to dig in to these chapters.
