DECEMBER 2020 Introductory Belly Dance - Updated Master List for IBDT

Happy Holidays Everyone:)

I am super excited to do something festive and fun this month so I prepared a little choreography for us to learn to "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms.
There will be 4 sections, and fingers crossed if the internet allows all videos should be up by Monday December 7th :)

Below you will also find the updated master list of all previous Introductory belly dance tutorials, practice videos, combos, choreography videos my tips for learning, cool down and stretch videos and little warm up videos :) Remember, I post a link to this list at the top of each post so you can always easily find everything in one place. And if you ever have any questions or requests feel free to message me :)

Remember to go at your own pace. You can watch each video as many times as you want to or need to as long as you are subscribed so there is no rush. Go at the pace best for you body and mind. You get to set and decide that. The list below lists everything in chronological order which I recommend following for most digestible and buildable coverage of material :)

A little glossary of terms to help you navigate this master list!

Tutorials are the videos where the movements are broken down in detail. They are slow paced and thorough.

Practice videos are where we take what we learned in the tutorials and put them to practice. No breakdown, just moving our bodies to the music.

Warm up videos are just fun follow along videos that are meant to warm you up. Not dance technique oriented, just moving our bodies and noodling around.

Extended practice videos are long practice videos, 20 to 30 minutes in length. They are continuous dancing for an extended length of time. They are to be done once all of the tutorials 1 through to 10 have been completed and thei corresponding shorter practice videos.

Combination/Drill videos are videos where we have a specific combination of movements that we repeatedly do in a specific order for 5 to 10 minutes. These are to help develop muscle memory and moving through movements. These should be done after you have done tutorials 1 through to 10 and their corresponding practice videos.

Choreography Videos, section breakdowns, and practice videos of combined sections are videos where we breakdown sections of a Choreography. Practice videos of sections combined are where we practice putting the previous sections all together. To be done once all the tutorials, practice videos, combo videos etc have been done.

Transitions videos are an Introductory look at , what constitutes a transition between movements and help identifying them.
