So many hateable, despicable people in this show, purely fueled by ego and "prestige." But there are also so many wonderful people in this show who gave EVERYTHING they have to keeping their comrades safe.

Rewatching Shcherbina talk about the area's bloody history hits even harder now, as just three years after the show's release, the zone became the main Russian invasion corridor towards Kyiv and the towns just south of it site of some the most significant early battles, and war crimes. 2025-07-10 17:22:32 +0000 UTCI'm actually chuffed to bits you got to experience this show/piece of history. Is the show depressing? Indeed. Is it gruesome in some places? Yep. Does it make you want to c*nt punt some of the people portrayed? Absolutely. That's the beauty of riviting writing.
