4 months of progress + Japanese translation WIP!

Hey everyone! How have you been?

I, for one, have spent most of 2021 so far bedridden because of a lumbar hernia that I got the exact same day I released Chapter 3 (my 25th birthday present to myself, apparently!)

It took three months to heal on its own (but not completely, wheeee) so working on anything has been challenging to say the least.

I have been chipping away at chapter 4 every so often, all the same! It's still very early, so I can't quite give you a release date for now.

(So far all I can tell is that it's going to make all of us cry one way or another, that's for sure.)

On other super exciting news, we're getting a Japanese translation as you can see in the preview image, courtesy of my good friend Shi-chan! It's still very much in progress, so no specific release date for now either.

If everything goes well, once I get vaccined (by 2022, most likely because Spain) I plan to move to Tokyo and see if I could get a Japanese dub as well depending on my budget by then.

I already got to direct Japanese seiyuu thanks to Sword of the Necromancer , so that would be great!

I think that's about all for today! Thank you all so much for your support, I'm looking forward to sharing with you all what's in store for THK!

Thank you for the wishes, Evie! <3 I direct actors in my third language every day (English) for my job as a voice director in indie games so it wasn't much different! I had also directed people IRL in Spanish for theater and TV beforehand, but being that I wasn't super certain about my Japanese level, Shi-chan and I joined forces for direction in Japanese, where the actor would read the line, I'd provide direction, and she would translate for me. It was a bit strange at first to have an intermediary, but we soon got a good rhythm, and now I also know enough about acting-related words in Japanese that I can confidently talk to the seiyuu if the direction is not too complex! I also have a tendency to kind of imitate the tone I want them to go for in the end without reading the actor's line in any language, so they often just get the right energy from that haha Nothing compares to directing THK because THK is my baby and I direct people down to their last breath there (making sure they have fun :,>)

Glad to hear you're mostly healed, I hope it continues to improve! 💜 I'm curious how directing for Sword of the Necromancer went; have you directed actors in other languages before? And how did this compare to directing for THK?

Evie
