Heat Wave / Schedule

Hey guys! Wanted to give you a quick heads up that I have to shift the schedule back a day or two this week, just because we've been having a massive heat wave here in a LA, and it's making things difficult. (It's hit 120 in some areas of the city 🥵) I've been trying to see how things were the past few days, but I don't have AC, and we've had several power outages, so running filming lights/camera etc. is just not a good idea right now. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last of it, so I will get everything posted ASAP! Stay hydrated, everybody!

Even San Diego is experiencing above-average temperatures. The high temperature went above 80° once in June, zero times in July, and five times in August, but here in September it has already gone above 90° three times.

Your safety comes first. Stay hydrated and drink at least 1 Gatorade or Power Aid a day. Just a small one. Till it's all over.

Todd Spencer

Simply take care of yourself. That's the most important thing.

It definitely sucks that in California the heat waves correspond to power outages, so even if you had a portable air conditioner it wouldn't help (although I think having a portable AC otherwise is a good idea). Perhaps in these times it makes sense to temporarily relocate to someplace like Vegas where AC should be available and power not an issue...yup, going farther INTO the desert for relief from the heat 😂

Stay safe and stay cool Jacqui, shouldn’t be too hard for you though, you’re always cool 😎

I had a blackout hit while I was driving down a very busy street after dark. The signals, street lamps, and business all went out, and it was genuinely one of the eeriest (not to mention scariest as far as moving vehicles) things I've ever experienced.

The rolling black outs have made this heatwave unbearable here in So Cal.

I grew up in Ventura County (the next county north of LA, FYI), and almost _no one_ had AC. The marine air moderates the temperature along the coast fairly well, so even living 20 miles from the beach, it rarely got _too_ hot. But the many hills and low mountain ranges in the area have a *huge* effect on temperature!

Stay safe and we'll be just fine until you're in the clear to safely get back to it

Simon Shea

I will definitely never take it for granted after this 😂

I'm lucky where I am that it's manageable for the most part, but when we get massive waves like this, it can definitely cause problems 😅

As a lifelong Texas resident, the idea of living anywhere without AC is unthinkable.

I didn't realize there were places in L.A. that DON'T have AC! Hang in there! Stay hydrated!!
