ALIEN *Early Access* YouTube Edit

This was a tough edit, just because it was a tough watch. I don't handle suspense well 😅

Talk as much as you want, that's why I'm here. Personally, I enjoyed Alien, Aliens, Resurrection, Prometheus and Covenant the most out of this franchise. Haven't seen the newest one yet.

I saw this movie when it first came out in the theaters. I think I was 13. Not sure, and too lazy to do the math! 🤣 My dad and 2 of my uncles went, and I was so surprised that my dad let me come with. I still remember to this day when the "that" thing happened. I was munching away on a tub of popcorn. My hand was literally at my mouth with another handful. In slow motion, I set the tub on the ground and never went back to it. I am not sure if anyone told you, but the only people who knew that blood was going to splatter when the "THAT" thing happened was the actor it happened to and the director, so the screams when it happened were genuine fear! 😁

I love your reactions so much! I love the behind the scenes stuff almost more than the actual movie itself. It’s really interesting to hear you talk about the music and sound and lighting and color and how it adds to what the movie wants you to feel. We actually watched this in my regular High School English class. The teacher said this was the best suspense film they'd ever seen. I love Alien and Aliens. None of the rest of them compare to these two sadly. If you want some milder horror films, you might like the Scream franchise. It's a really remarkable movie in that it is both a legit horror film (although not too scary) and also a parody of horror films. It made me realize what a brilliant director Wes Craven is.

Please don't feel pressured to watch more horror movies. It was very obvious that you are not comfortable with this genre. That is fine; many people are out there reacting to those movies. Pick the films you are interested in and focus on them. I don't mind reactors who comment throughout a film. If I wanted to watch the movie, I'd put it on. I'm interested in hearing what you think and your observations on the filmmaking behind the movie. If you're trying to survive the film, it benefits no one. Looking forward to your next film.

"Forking Fungus" 🤣 thank you ❤️

It should be noted that Aliens is a completely different style of movie. Alien was a 70s suspense/horror movie while Aliens was a late 80s/early 90s action movie. So if you were that creeped out by Alien, know that the sequel isn't _as_ bad as the first.

The Jaws comparisons you make are spot on, the great horror movie makes you fear seeing the monster, it doesn't keep putting the monster on display for you. I love Scott and Spielberg as directors, and neither is a 'horror director,' they're just masters who can pick whatever emotion they want to manipulate in the audience and take it to the limit. In this case: terror.

One of the cool things I recently learned was that the scene where they find the aliens with the open chest, they used a couple of the crew’s kids in suits to make the scale look bigger

So when do we get Aliens? ;)
