Thank you for your responses!
Added 2024-07-31 02:12:04 +0000 UTCI really appreciate all of your responses to the Firefly test footage. I know that it's physically impossible to please everyone, but if there are ways to improve things, I always want to try. That clip was nowhere near a final cut, just a mockup of what the overlay might look like. I'm trying it out to see how much it affects editing time, and if it's worth it for the viewer experience.
I also appreciate you guys letting me know about the audio issue. I'm testing out a few things to see if I can fix it. It could be as simple as the mic was too far away from me, or a window in our apartment was open, carrying street noise. I'm also double checking my mic is set as directional as possible, to avoid any ambient noise. I'm filming and uploading in the next few days, so let me know how those sound, and I'll keep making adjustments.
Thank you! ❤️

2024-07-31 03:09:46 +0000 UTCI actually had to go back and check one of the Firefly full-length reactions without my sync'd copy playing to hear the audio issue that people were talking about. That said, if you use DaVinci Resolve to edit, you can use the Noise Reduction audio filter in either "Auto Speech Mode", or in Manual Mode coupled with "learn" to filter out your room tone. I tested on one of your clips and it worked pretty well without even tweaking it. If you use something like Premiere or Final Cut instead, they might have similar functionality, but I'm not familiar enough with those to know for sure.
