HANGOUT AFTERMATH + MORE UPDATES

1) Google Hangout 2) Progress from storyboard (during hangout) 3) Unfinished Batman toon * apologies for typos and other shit, I didn't sleep much last night lol ------------- 1. GOOGLE HANGOUT The half-day hangout was fucking awesome. At least, I thought so. I rarely "forget to eat", but managed to keep my mind off food til Austin broke out the hummus (luckily, at the end). Also, fuck you Austin. We only ran into a few cases where folks couldn't get in: MAREK I'M SO DAMN SORRY... I think you're the only one who couldn't get in that didn't eventually make it through (unless others ran into the issue but didn't mention it). I was told I could possibly extend the max callers to 15? (gonna look into that) ... but ultimately it would be cool if we never ran into that issue... again, my apologies for that. Google hangouts may not be the long term solution. (Suggestions for better alternatives welcome!) Despite the lack of trashed Mick breaking everything in his room and scaring his dog, I think we had a good time. I KNOW I DID! That said, I may need to take a break in the middle next time, cuz I could feel my words and thoughts all slurring together after 6 hours of google-hangout-ing. It was awesome meeting you guys (some of you again), talkin' shop, talkin' shit, getting to you know you guys (and gal) better, workin' on stuff, seeing/hearing what y'all are working on ... and ACTUALLY REMEMBERING THE WHOLE THING WITH MINIMAL PROPERTY DAMAGE!!! Let's do it again sometime soon, shall we? ------------- 2. PROGRESS ON STORYBOARD I've been given an opportunity to work a possible series of commissions for Plants vs Zombies. It's not set, and depends on if they dig the storyboard for the first sketch, which is what I started and worked on during the call. It's all very up in the air. If/when I hear about the results of that, I'll be sure to report back. In the meantime, the progress from during the hangout is attached) ... it's just the first 1/2 or 1/3. ------------- 3. UNFINISHED BATMAN TOON Arkham Origins wasn't the most well-recieved game in the Batman franchise... that said, I'd started a short parody based on some of the game's features (never actually playing it, however seeing plenty of play-throughs). BATMAN : Arkham Origins (unfinished toon) http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/0678c9fa99bfb93474d5c607c7630365 Currently, it has no end... there were several options, but ultimately the project was abandoned when a commission popped up and I just couldn't think of a way to end it (that was possible in a timely manner)... On the call we decided, why not finish it, and for fun, to get some input on how it could end. I have some ideas, however if you guys have any, feel free to lemme know :] Possible endings I was throwing around at the time: 1) Alfred calls (over intercom) asking for Batman to come home and eat dinner (a plot point in the game that comes up way too much). Batman angrily beats the shit out of the UI element (of the chat window) 2) Alfred calls about dinner, Batman says he's not hungry (which he does a lot in the game), then Bane picks up (from Alfred's end) and says he'll eat... and for dessert destroy everything batman holds dear... batman makes his way back to bat cave which is now on fire, Alfred dead on ground. Batman uses electric power to revive Aflred (THIS HAPPENS IN GAME), shocking Alfred again and again til he's alive, but then keeps shocking him, eventually frying him to ashes. Sobbing he takes a bite of the food. And it ends with something silly about the food. 3) Alfred calls, Bane intercepts, Batman makes to go save the Batcave ... but gets stuck in the ceiling (a bug in the game that sometime had Batman's arms literally stuck in walls unable to do anything)... cut to Batcave, AFlred is massaging Bane who compliments Alfred on the meal.
