Some Pokemon sketches
Added 2019-05-18 14:58:44 +0000 UTCTo be honest, I wouldn't say I'm very much affected by the Detective Pikachu movie hype. Or that I'm a big fan of pokemon. But as I get the itch to draw pokemon lately... Makes me wonder if there is a way masses of people get hypnotized. Magnetic waves or something.
Anyway, pokemon were the first thing I drew seriously as a kid. I mean, not doodled for pointless fun but thought "ok, I wanna learn to draw these guys". Maybe they'll help me get back up. Drawing the first 150 would be fun. Not many of the rest, they have TERRIBLE designs. I mean, you need to work hard to make something more awful than Mr. Mime or Porygon. Especially after beautiful Dragonair, Lapras, Pidgeot, Charizard, Onyx...
On the show I loved Bulbasaur the most. Charmander was also cute. Although he becomes a jerk as he evolves so... eh. I thought pokemon keep their memory through evolutions. Being saved by Ash and then disobey... And even try to harm him. I dunno, total asshat. Still I pick this asshat in the game every time. Cause... it's the effing dragon! I mean, what else do you want in terms of power and victory? A huge fire-breathing dragon that can break steel and fly!
But if I wanted a companion and a friend, it would definitely be Bulbasaur.
