Feedback form results + updates going forward

Let's take a look at the responses I got from the feedback form!

Although 11 is only a small portion of the total of patrons, I'm taking the response as representative of the more actively engaged patrons - thanks for participating!!

About NSFW suggestions

From here my understanding is that the low engagement with the NSFW suggestions form is more due to patrons not really having the need to use it, than dissatisfaction with how it's handled (which is a relief tbh)!

About pending art

This was a surprise tbh! Paired with the previous one, I think it's safe to go the first route so pending NSFW art is finished (more on that below).

About "monthly" art

Thank you for the patience for real 😭

About quality vs frequency

This one's closer to split opinions, so I'll keep in mind we could use both - with a leaning towards more complex stuff.

Suggestion forms or polls?

Most like the poll idea more, so it's what we're going to try next!

Calico Tier

Responses are in line with the previous questions - it seems most don't mind sending suggestions as much as just seeing the art itself! And if we're taking out suggestions, we're replacing it with polls.

Opinions noted!

I do have a tag for videos of art timelapses, but I very rarely make them spontaneously, specially from NSFW art - mostly because of the trouble of recording (that slows my PC down on big pieces) and posting (YouTube loves deleting my private videos)...

I won't make any promises to make it a fixed reward, but knowing that there's interest in it I'll give Vimeo another chance and see it I can upload timelapse videos in a way that's more convenient on both ends!

As for polished/longer pieces, it's been a while I don't do those precisely because how much longer they take me to finish and how I usually feel self conscious of the gap between when that suggestion was sent vs when I actually finish and post the art :') but based on your feedback we're close to a solution for this!

Special Calico Kitty

There weren't suggestions for this one, but I also feel like the Special Calico Kitty tier could differ more from the Calico Kitty tier.

Closing thoughts

I got a couple of really sweet, supportive messages through the form and would like to thank not only them, but everyone who took the time to answer, and who's supporting my artistic journey!

So based on the responses, what I gauged was that most engaged patrons...

• don't mind sending NSFW suggestions, or the gap of waiting between sending suggestions and seeing the art being made (although a portion prefers monthly art corresponding to monthly prompts);

• prefer I pause receiving new suggestions to work on pending art;

• are split between preferring rougher & quicker art, vs more complex & slower art - with a bigger leaning to the latter;

• approve of the idea of a monthly poll featuring my own ideas.

The form responses and recent engagement also suggest that most engaged patrons are in for seeing and supporting my art more than using the benefits to send their own ideas - so I feel encouraged to draw more things based on my own vision and worry less about engagement!

What's next?

Finally, here's my proposal going forward:

• I'll close the current suggestions forms indefinitely and work on the pending art queue. They'll be longer, more complex pieces (fully colored and/or multiple pages/shots) with no time limit to complete on my end.

• In the meantime, in order to keep my feed active, I'll open a poll featuring a few ideas by myself + ideas handpicked from Special Calico Patrons ($10) submissions. All patrons on Calico Kitty ($5) and Special ($10) tier patrons can vote on the poll. My aim is that the winning suggestion will be drawn and posted within same month as a quicker/rougher piece (uncolored single shot/page).

• Submissions will happen through a form exclusively for the $10 tier. It'll be posted tomorrow and stay open for a week (March 29)!

• The poll will be posted on the 1st of next month, and stay open through the first week of the month.

• This will be experimental! If it works out nicely, the poll + rough art will be a fixed monthly reward.

This is the route I came up with based on feedback & what I feel is appropriate for my process - I'll be happy to hear any more feedback, thoughts and suggestions!
