Update log - OC Q&A inbox, IRL updates

Hello all! Ya boi Son here! Things have been hectic IRL for a while and I thought I'd take the time to update you on what's going on and what you should expect in the next days!

OC Q&A inbox

I've been running the OC Q&A activity and proposing slight changes to how I run it for a while now - because I feel the execution isn't yet the most effective. The main issues I find running it as it is right now are:

• Patrons often mistake it for the NSFW suggestions inbox and send NSFW prompts instead of questions to OCs;
• I usually wait and postpone answer compilation posts until I have enough questions (at least five) to compile in a single post, and that contributes to delaying them a lot;
• Sometimes I have ideas of answers in art form that are too complex and would take a lot of time, and either working on those or saving for future posts ends up delaying new posts even more.

So my proposition is a different approach to this activity - a general anonymous Q&A inbox, similar to CuriousCat or Tumblr's ask box. That was my original goal with this idea- giving supporters a communication channel where they could send questions about my OCs or my work in general.

I do enjoy the aforementioned tools in concept, but those are also an open invitation to ill-willed random strangers on social media - which hopefully I'm safe from if I'm doing it from inside a supporters-only paywall. And the anonymous forms puts a comfortable distance between either ends!

Here's how the Q&A inbox will change:

• Same rules will still apply, you can still send questions about specific OCs as always - and now also ask about my work in general! I may talk about my lore and ideas, process or tools, anything you might be curious about regarding my creative activities.
• Compilation posts with answers will be posted once a month, with only text answers. From now on if I decide to answer any questions with a drawing, I'll still post the question in text form, then the art in a separate post whenever I finish it, so there's no more need to delay posts just so I can finish art that's included in it.

I'll finally post a compilation post answering previous questions before the end of this month, and on the 1st of April I'll post an inbox in the new format. As usual, this is all tentative and I'm always open for feedback!

Moving out!

Moving on to IRL news, life has been hectic in the last month as my partner and I have been preparing to move out together to a new place! I've been very busy with the preparations - as of the time of typing this I'm working among growing piles of cardboard boxes containing my belongings - and don't see myself being any less busy in the next few weeks as the official moving out date is April 1. 

I'm extremely excited and so happy to be at this point, but can't help feeling anxious for not working that much on art while I manage my personal life - so I want to thank you all as always for your support and patience. :') It's a dream come true to be able to achieve my goals while working with art, so thank you for supporting me in this! I hope to become even more inspired working from my new home office once it's all settled. <3

TL;DR

• OC inbox is changing - same rules and format still apply, but now you can send asks about not only my OCs but my work in general too! And answer compilation posts will return monthly, but text only; asks eventually answered with art will get their own posts. New inbox opens April 1!
• I've been taking my time with making new art since I've been very busy IRL with moving out! Thank you for the patience!!
