Here's my 2022 summary of art and the 2021 summary! Individual posts for each featured piece listed below, and a few thoughts on the closing year.

So I was a bit reluctant to to this trend this year, because I knew I wouldn't be completely satisfied with the assemble - specially when compared side by side with the previous year.

While last year I experienced a lot of artistic growth, experimenting with new methods and tools, and created a variety of both personal and "for audience" art - this year my summary features mostly "for audience" art, pieces of the same multiple part sets over the months, and consistent palettes.

This isn't really a negative thing, or equals to no growth - I recognize my general comic skills improved, and so did my ability to use tools that facilitate my process! I also solidified my brand as an OC artist, and it's still pretty amazing to thrive on my own self indulgent original content.

All in all, putting this summary together was a good exercise to encourage myself to experiment and branch out a little bit more next year (but I won't stop drawing zephyatt anytime soon, don't worry). Make more spontaneous art, draw more of my own ideas and sudden inspirations - instead of consistently put them away in favor of audience art.
