The 2nd generation Renault Megane made its debut at the Paris Salon in 2002. The new design for this C segment Megane created by designer Patrick Le Quement, who headed Renault design, had a very unique style. The Megane II was praised for its unique style, with its vertical rear window and bulging rear gate panel, moving away from the typical 2 box style common to FF hatchbacks.
